PUMA x Rothaus Tannenzäpfle sneaker
PUMA's collaboration with the Rothaus brewery
New: For Tannenzäpfle’s 70th birthday there is the second PUMA x Rothaus sneaker – light instead of dark.
After the successful PUMA x Black Forest sneaker collection last year, PUMA seems to have got a taste for it and has now teamed up with the Rothaus brewery from the Black Forest. “Biergit”, the beer queen of the Black Forest, strikes again. You could also say: something is brewing 😉
A release party for the PUMA x Rothaus Indoor “Tannenzäpfle” sneaker has been announced for 29 August 2025 in Frankfurt am Main, together with PUMA and the Rothaus brewery. Alongside plenty of highlights there will also be free beer – Tannenzäpfle, of course!

The PUMA Indoor is a genuine 1980s classic – originally developed as a versatile indoor shoe for sports such as volleyball or badminton, today a retro sneaker with cult status. Sturdy leather, a grippy sole and timeless design make it a stylish companion in the hall as well as on the street (and of course in the forest).
Rothaus, on the other hand, is deeply rooted in the Black Forest with its Tannenzäpfle – a beer with an unmistakable taste and a loyal following all over Germany. When these two cult brands meet, sporty street style collides with traditional brewing – the result: a collaboration with genuine cult status.

About PUMA
Today PUMA is one of the best-known sneaker brands in the world, yet the company's roots lie in the middle of Germany – more precisely in Herzogenaurach in Franconia. Last year PUMA already turned to the subject of the Black Forest and released the PUMA x Black Forest sneaker collection. PUMA sneakers, often worn in urban settings, can thus also be read as a modern contrast to the idyllic Black Forest backdrop – a symbol of how tradition and innovation from Germany are carried out into the world.
About the Rothaus brewery
Rothaus – that is the Black Forest pure, in a bottle. For more than 200 years the cult brewery has been brewing its legendary Tannenzäpfle, standing for honest craft, fresh spring water and a great deal of feeling for home. Whether on a summit, by a lake or simply at home – a Rothaus always fits. And anyone who has tasted the Tannenzäpfle knows: this is not a beer, this is a piece of the Black Forest. Rothaus has previously brewed up a textile collaboration with Mojo from Hamburg.
