Gaspedal Rötenbach

FriedenweilerHochschwarzwald

The first electric go-kart track in the Hochschwarzwald: electric karts through the forest instead of combustion engines on asphalt.

Schwarzwald, Friedenweiler Gemeindegrenzen: © OpenStreetMap-Mitwirkende, ODbL

Three kinds of kart for different ages: the forest kart with electric pedal assistance for laps on the woodland course, the powerful monster kart for the off-road circuit and, since May 2026, the mini kart for the smallest drivers.

There is also a restaurant serving hearty local cooking and a sun terrace overlooking the track – you can easily spend a whole afternoon here.

Questions and answers

Where can I park, and does it cost anything?

Free directly at the Hardtschachen sports ground and at the adjoining Hardt walkers' car park.

When is it open, and is there a season?

Daily from 12.00 to 18.00. From November to February the site stays closed.

Roughly what does it cost?

Forest kart: 5 € for 10 minutes, 10 € for 20, 15 € for 30, 20 € for an hour, each further 20 minutes 5 €. Monster kart: 10 € for 10 minutes, 15 € for 20. Rates for the new mini kart are on the website.

Is it worth it with children?

Yes – the children are the main characters here. Forest karts from age 6 (up to 110 kg), or from age 3 in a child seat with an adult; monster karts from 6 to 14 (up to 60 kg); and since May 2026 the mini kart from age 3 up to 25 kg.

What is nearby that I could combine it with?

The Rötenbach ant trail starts from the same car park, a family-friendly themed walk through the Rötenbach gorge.

Do I need to book?

At weekends and in the holidays, better yes: the site is compact and well booked in high season. The easiest way to reserve is by WhatsApp, ideally one or two days ahead.

How much time should I allow?

Two to three hours: one forest-kart session of 20 or 30 minutes, a break on the terrace, then another round or a monster-kart slot for the children.
